What changed in the AI score.

The AI score's rules, the checks it counts and the weight of each, carry a version number. Every audit and every report keeps the score computed with the rules of its day, and shows the score with today's rules beside it. Here is every version, newest first. Rules 2.0.0 apply today.

  1. Rules 2.0.0

    current
    • A new check, the ARD (Agentic Resource Discovery) manifest, worth 5, validated with the same conformance test Lighthouse ships. llms.txt drops from 15 to 10: there are now 11 checks, still out of 100.
    • Every report keeps the AI score it was published with, under the rules of the day its scan started, and shows the score with today's rules beside it.
    • Scans started before 2 October 2026 did not check for an ARD manifest: under today's rules that check is left out, not failed, and the other weights are rescaled.

    • A new check, the ARD (Agentic Resource Discovery) manifest, worth 5: the site publishes a valid manifest of the resources it offers to AI agents. We validate it with the same conformance test Lighthouse ships, so our verdict matches PageSpeed Insights'.
    • llms.txt drops from 15 to 10: there are now 11 checks, still out of 100.
    • The audit's AI score comes from the scanner and includes the robots.txt check, which the audit used to leave out.
    • Every audit keeps the score it had, with the rules of the day it was made, and shows the score with today's rules beside it.
  2. Rules 1.0.0

    • First version, with the first city reports: the AI score runs from 0 to 100 and is the weighted mean of 10 checks. Content in the HTML 20, llms.txt 15, robots.txt allows AI 15, structured data 15, sitemap 10, and 5 each for title, meta description, canonical, HTTPS and Lighthouse SEO.
    • Every report gives the mean, the median and the result of each check over the city's working sites.

    • First version: the AI score runs from 0 to 100 and is the weighted mean of 10 checks. Content in the HTML 20, llms.txt 15, robots.txt allows AI 15, structured data 15, sitemap 10, and 5 each for title, meta description, canonical, HTTPS and Lighthouse SEO.
    • A check the audit cannot answer is left out, and the remaining weights are rescaled: missing data never counts as a failure.
